Handmade by Stephen McRae so dimensions, colour and shape may vary. Inspired by the Herefordshire Cider apple orchards, this apple tea light holder is forged using the gas forge to heat the mild steel so it becomes so hot the steel acts more like plasticine and is hammered into this lovely deep apple shaped dish. The leaf and stem are then forged separately and welded to the top of the apple and a sturdy round metal base is also welded to the bottom. It is then polished and highlighted before being given 3 to 4 coats of a clear matt lacquer finish. Used as a Tea light candle holder brings out its true beauty as the candles flame dances around highlighting and capturing shapes and shadows.
