Handmade by Stephen McRae so dimensions, colour and shape may vary. Inspired and forged in the same way as the plain apple. The Gold leaf Apple is exactly that, finished with hand beaten 231⁄2 gold leaf, the purest and 100% tarnish free gold that money can buy. The gold leaf is set upon an oil based red gold size to give it a crackled look. The whole apple is then given 2 to 3 coats of a matt clear lacquer to protect the remaining exposed steel. Used as a candle tea light in a dark room throws out the most delightful, subtle glow and warmth, creating a lovely relaxing feel to any room or space.
